Laura – Practice Manager

Laura – Practice Manager

Laura started in the Veterinary world in 2006 but her love for animals started from the very beginning, not long after she was born did her family introduce her to a menagerie of pets: from parakeets and ducks to cats and dogs. Laura wore many hats, but her favorite was as a Client Services Representative. While she always wanted to have a career in English Literature, she soon realized her passion was working with her Veterinary colleagues to help strengthen the compassionate connections with not only the patients but the clients, as well. After hands-on studying, learning, failing, and starting over again, Laura’s take-away was that she’ll never run out of things to learn in this dynamic industry and is thrilled to join The Village Veterinarian’s team and continue to uphold their cherished reputation and history in the East Village.

Outside of work, Laura loves reading, discovering new music in nearly every genre, spending time with her family, and their senior Dachshund mix: Humphrey “Bogie” Bogart, their new Cavapoo: Dino Martini Cavapetti, and 3 cats: Phoenix Frenchie Fairchild, Winter Ivy Novosibirsk, andChesney Cheese Fries. Laura is also a proud Girl Scout Troop Leader in her daughter’s troop and loves helping the kids in any way she can in her community and beyond.

I have been working in the veterinary field since 2001. I believe that pets make the world a happier place; this is the reason why I decided to work with cats and dogs. I am compassionate, dedicated and friendly. I am excited to work with the staff and doctors at The Village Veterinarian.

Kaiya – Veterinary Assistant

Kaiya – Veterinary Assistant

My name is Kaiya, I’m new to the Veterinary industry but love learning it all—every day is different, and I enjoy being able to form connections with all the pets, improving on my assistant skills daily, and studying the veterinary medical lingo. I’m partial to doodles but they all make me smile! When I’m not at work, I love working out (so I can lift all the bigger dogs easier!), and cooking healthy food for my family.

Summer – Client Services Representative

Summer – Client Services Representative

I’m Summer, I started my veterinary career as an assistant in the exotic center in Manhattan 6 years ago and have been at the front desk for the past year at Village. It’s very rewarding to work directly with the clients, whom I enjoy connecting with and especially meeting all the cute cats the come in. In my downtime, I love being with my family and am looking forward to meeting my first born son this Spring!
